TECHNOLOGIES

We have been successful in creating concrete that is tough and durable, not unlike steel, tham concrete. Our method of mixing large amounts of steel fibres in a special stronger concrete matrix produces a very tough steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC), allowing us to create durable jointless floors (PrimeJointless nad PrimeComposite) and strong pile-supported floors (PrimeStructural). Our SFRC concrete is so strong we can cast it as free suspended elevated slabs many stories high or use it as raft-type foundation under concrete highrise buildings.

Primekss concrete mix is manufactured to local and international standards, and the mixing process is enhanced to reduce the risk of the floor cracking.

Our concrete floors have:

  • prolonged endurance against material fatigue,
  • enhanced control of shrinkage and cracking,
  • enhanced strength under tension, compression, shear and flexion,
  • high impact resistance,
  • enhanced load transmission (shear strength) after cracking,
  • increased static load-bearing capacity,
  • excellent edge protection of slab,
  • high surface flatness,
  • increased abrasion resistance,
  • significantly reduced need for maintenance,

thus the concrete we use is no longer the brittle material of yesteryear; but is a tough and durable composite material, ready for the harsh reality of usage under industrial conditions.

MACHINERY

To create better concrete, better tools are needed. Not much can be done with a van and a few hand tools. We have created a special set of equipment to help automate, to increase precision and to control the floor installation process.

Here are some of our machines.

The special concrete that forms the basis of our process can only be created using special machines. Our equipment is quite unique. We have created a very special set of machines and tools to make our floors perfect.

  • We level the concrete using the latest Somero laserscreed SXP automated laser-controled equipement with which it is possible to achieve a super-precise pour, even when casting 3500 m2 in a single shift. For smaller jobs we use our versatile automated Somero Powerrake and Coperhead machines.

  • The steel fibres are mixed in using special PrimeBlower to ensure a high uniformity of ditribution with a correspondingly lower risk of cracking.

  • Concrete may be delivered to site using equipement fitted with very large pneumatictyred wheels PrimeDumper. This provides maximum protection to the prepared base, safeguarding it against damage during the concreting process, thereby reducing the risk of the floor cracking.
  • Instalation of dry shake surface topping materials is done using the topping spreader laser-guided precision equipement to ensure even application of surface hardener, thus creating a beautiful and durable floor.

  • In addition to this basic equipement we use many specialised tools and devices for measuring and ensuring quality.

Of course, equipement is nothing more than a piece of steel without trained personnel. We place particular emphasis on on-the-job training for everyone in our company.
